Hong Kong (HKG) airport hotels

Use the official resting-lounge map to choose a location near the departure route. For a shower, compare the complimentary arrivals-level facilities with paid lounge services. For a private room, evaluate landside entry and Regal’s booked stay window.

BEFORE YOU SETTLE IN

HKG has resting areas and showers inside the airport, but its FAQ says there is no transit hotel in the restricted area. Regal Airport Hotel connects to T1 on the public side; check entry eligibility before reserving a room.

Where you can actually stay

Location and access come first. These are researched options, not an exhaustive directory. Use the linked operator for current availability and prices.

THE HKG DETAILS

Regal is connected to T1, but outside transit

The enclosed link is useful for a public-side stay. It does not make Regal an airside hotel or make every long connection suitable for a room booking.

Check the arrival route

Use the hotel’s Terminal 1 Arrival Hall A link-bridge directions after completing any required arrival procedures. Save those instructions rather than relying only on a road address.

Match the booked hours

The operator’s day-use offer currently describes a nine-hour window from noon to 21:00. A dawn arrival or an overnight stay needs a different confirmed product; do not assume the room clock starts whenever your flight lands.

Read the rate conditions

The displayed promotional package requires non-refundable prepayment. Check the live offer, party size and arrival plan before choosing it; a delay can change how much room time you actually get.

Ask for a written answer on late arrival and family occupancy. The practical comparison is usable room hours after immigration, not the headline nightly rate.

Transfer details

Use the boarding-pass branch in the official transfer guide. The airport map is the right reference for concourse and level changes; a city road map cannot show the restricted passenger path. Allow for screening and walking before starting the break.

Baggage

Storage is on the public side

The airport FAQ places baggage storage in the non-restricted area on Terminal 1 Level 5. A transit passenger must be able to enter Hong Kong to reach it. Check collection hours and the onward bag-drop deadline before committing to a city visit.

01

Choose the right HKG hotel location

Use the official resting-lounge map to choose a location near the departure route. For a shower, compare the complimentary arrivals-level facilities with paid lounge services. For a private room, evaluate landside entry and Regal’s booked stay window.

02

Check access before comparing rooms

HKG has resting areas and showers inside the airport, but its FAQ says there is no transit hotel in the restricted area. Regal Airport Hotel connects to T1 on the public side; check entry eligibility before reserving a room.

03

Book the hours you will actually use

Give the property your flight arrival time, departure time and terminal. Ask when the room clock starts, whether a delay changes the booking, and whether the booked block includes enough time to reach the room. Compare the total charge for your stay, not a headline nightly rate.

04

A final check before paying

A booking labelled “Aerotel” or “airport hotel” is not proof of a private airside bedroom. The airport currently describes Refreshhh by Aerotel as showers, hair blow-dry rooms and a resting area. Confirm the actual product before paying.

  • Check guest capacity and the exact child policy for your party.
  • Confirm that a shower, private bathroom or bed is included in the product you chose.
  • Read cancellation and late-arrival terms on the operator’s booking page.

A few useful answers

What is the most common booking mistake at HKG?

A booking labelled “Aerotel” or “airport hotel” is not proof of a private airside bedroom. The airport currently describes Refreshhh by Aerotel as showers, hair blow-dry rooms and a resting area. Confirm the actual product before paying.

Can I use facilities in another terminal?

With an onward boarding pass, follow transfer signs towards departures and pass transfer security. Without one, find the airline’s designated transfer desk first. Resolve the boarding pass before walking to a lounge on the other side of the airport.

Are opening hours and prices guaranteed?

No. Use the airport or operator’s current information for your travel date. Prices, availability and access rules may change.

Can I leave the airport during my connection?

A visit to Hong Kong requires entry clearance and a separate outward and return allowance. Keep baggage collection and the next security process in the plan. Do not use a train’s advertised ride time as the entire airport-to-city round trip.
