At DOH, choose the right part of transit before paying for rest. Oryx Airport Hotel is at South Plaza near Lamp Bear; Sleepover also has North Node locations. A room near the arrival gate may leave a longer return to departure.
A more comfortable place to pause
Location and access come first. These are researched options, not an exhaustive directory. Use the linked operator for current availability and prices.
| Place & location | Access | Before you book |
|---|---|---|
| Oryx Airport Hotel South Plaza · near Lamp Bear | Airside | Private rooms in transit. Give the hotel your flight times and confirm the booked stay period. |
| Sleepover North Node C30 Lower level −1 · opposite C30 | Airside | Single, twin-bunk and four-person family products; showers can be arranged for an extra fee. |
| Sleepover South Node Corridor beside Fendi · near Lamp Bear | Airside | Book the named location; North Node is a different walking route. |
A quiet-room recliner or a reserved sleep space?
Decide how much privacy you need and how many people must sleep. Public seating and a purchased cabin should not be compared as though they provide the same conditions.
Quiet-room rest
Hamad describes quiet rooms with reclining seating. Treat them as a place to pause rather than a guaranteed private bed. Keep your belongings secure and set an alarm that leaves enough time to locate the gate again.
C30 sleeping products
Sleepover’s North Node C30 listing distinguishes a one-person FlexiSuite, a two-person bunk cabin and a family bunk cabin for up to four. Choose the product for your whole party; do not assume a single sleep pod accommodates a child as well.
Check the shower separately
The C30 operator offers showers for an additional fee. Ask what is included in the sleep booking, when a shower can be used and whether the extra time leaves a meaningful rest period. A shower image on a listing does not make it complimentary.
Save the location and confirmation offline, especially when you arrive tired and the product name resembles another branch.
Terminals & airport transfers
Choose the route for your itinerary. Public road directions do not describe restricted airport corridors.
North Node ↔ South Plaza
Passenger train or walking routeTransfer details
Sleepover’s C30 directions describe a passenger train between the North and South Nodes, followed by a walk; walking the complete route is another option. Use the official map and airport signs to find the current boarding point. Include waiting and the walk to your actual gate, not just the train ride.
Transit ↔ Doha Metro
Airport station and city networkTransfer details
The airport links to Doha Metro for current opening hours and line maps. Check the airport-station last train in each direction before leaving transit. If the return service does not fit your boarding deadline, choose an alternative transport plan or remain at the airport.
Know before you settle in
Book help through the airline
Hamad says your airline can arrange a helper for check-in, passport control, security and other airport procedures. For a transfer, describe both flights and request assistance for the entire connection. Ask an information desk if help is needed on arrival; do not substitute a standard walking-time estimate for an assisted route.
Official information ↗Checked 2026-10-22Support for a non-visible disability
Hamad participates in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower programme. Its information identifies transfer-area collection points at Lamp Bear and the ORCHARD information desks. A lanyard helps communicate a need for extra understanding; arrange any specific mobility or medical assistance separately with the airline.

Personal checklist & offline guide
Your personal checklist
Choose what applies to your trip. Progress stays on this device for DOH. Checking an item is your own reminder, not an access approval.

Where to sleep at DOH
Free quiet-room recliners, bookable Sleepover spaces and Oryx’s private rooms serve different needs. Compare location, privacy, shower arrangements and the actual usable stay window rather than treating them as interchangeable beds.
A seat, a lounge or a room?
A lounge buys facilities and a quieter place to sit; it does not automatically include a bed. A room is the more predictable option for privacy. For terminal seating, ask staff which areas you may use overnight rather than assuming the entire airport stays accessible.
- Use the table above to match your departure area to a real facility.
- Confirm your booking covers your actual arrival time, not just the calendar date.
- Keep medication, charging cables and a light layer in cabin baggage.
The access detail that matters
Do not follow Arrivals to find an airside room. If your itinerary needs baggage reclaim, resolve that with the airline before booking a transit-only stay.
Plan the wake-up, not just the bedtime
Work backwards from the airline’s gate deadline. Include the walk, any transfer and checks after leaving the room. Set two alarms, secure your documents and check the flight screens again when you wake.
A few useful answers
What is the most common booking mistake at DOH?
Do not follow Arrivals to find an airside room. If your itinerary needs baggage reclaim, resolve that with the airline before booking a transit-only stay.
Can I use facilities in another terminal?
Hamad’s transfer guide describes an integrated terminal building with transfer halls at concourses A, B, C and D. Follow Transfers, complete screening and check the onward gate. Use a transfer desk for a missing boarding pass or changed connection.
Are opening hours and prices guaranteed?
No. Use the airport or operator’s current information for your travel date. Prices, availability and access rules may change.
Can I leave the airport during my connection?
A city visit requires permission to enter Qatar and a complete return allowance. Check current Metro opening and last-train information; a station connection is not an all-night transport promise.
